Test Post
October 4, 2019

With only a few days to the start of our summer track & field season for 2019/20 we thought we would send out some information and updates.

All returning members will need to be fully paid by 2pm this Friday if they want their results and season points to be included for the first meet.

All trialling athletes please report to the tent on the finish line of the track to get your athlete’s name ticked off and collect your childs yellow wrist band.
The wrist band will alert officials that your child is participating in a trial and will have their name and age group written on it.

Our first competition is this Saturday morning. Warm-ups for the athletes commence at 8:15am with competition starting at 8:30am
This week is Program 1 and below is a link to our events page:

As a parent you may be required to assist the official at the event for basic jobs such as scoring, measuring, raking of sand pit etc and the official will happily explain anything if you are unsure. Each field event will have a folder with a parent helper sign in sheet. If you’re helping at an event – please put your name down as there will be incentives throughout the season for parents who actively and consistently help out on competition days.
We are introducing the use of tablets to enter results for field events this season (instead of paper). We will be rolling this out to each event week by week. The first event to use the tablet for results will be Shot Put. It is easy to use, but if you have any problems, please get the shot put official to radio for assistance.

We have a canteen and a coffee van on the day but please be aware they only accept cash at this stage.
It is always a good idea to bring your own camp or fold out chairs, sunscreen, water and snacks.

Our uniform shop will be open at some stage on Saturday morning if you want to purchase the competition uniform. Uniform can be purchased with cash and can be purchased on the day or in advance with the online shop with a credit card or paypal:

Our tops are compulsory for fully registered competing athletes for $38 ea. The shorts are only compulsory at region and state carnivals (u9-u16 athletes) they are $25ea.
If your child is too young to compete at these carnivals then you are more than welcome to purchase your own royal blue or navy shorts from any of the big retailers.
