After a wash out one week, then region the following week – it was great to be back at Little Athletics this morning for another meet. The weather was kinder to us this morning with moments of sunshine and not too much wind. We handed out plenty of pb awards and also finally had the chance to present the centre records we’ve had so far. Thank you as always for the great participation from parents helping out at events to ensure we get through the program.
Centre Records:
It was a busy morning with 4 centre records being broken and 2 new records due to a new event.
*Liam J, U11 M, Discus, 25.05m (beating a record from last season).
*Lachlan W, U12 M, Shot Put, 7.75m (beating his own previous record).
*Abbey M, U16 F, Shot Put, 9.84m (beating her own previous record).
*Abbey M, U16 F, 90m Hurdles, 16.71s (beating a record which has been standing for 6 years)
As the u8 400m this morning was changed to an unlaned event due to LAVic rules and regulations we opened it up as a new event and therefore as it was run for the first time, our winners today have gone into the record book:

Upcoming Events:
Next Meet: Sat 23rd Nov (Program 1) **athlete’s attending Region Relays will receive average event points**
Sat 30th Nov: Coburg-Sunbury Challenge at Harold Stevens Athletics Track, Coburg. This is considered a normal points meet for athletes of all ages to compete against another Centre.
Thurs 12th Dec: Last meet for the season (twilight). Will be for season points, but will have a Xmas theme.
